Brokeback Mountain Premiere

Last night was the premiere for Brokeback Mountain. I went! By "went" I mean that I waited outside the theatre for hours while other people went inside and watched a movie. After about 1 1/2 hours, I only saw cars pass by on the street. Then, I noticed that some guy was crossing the street that looked really familiar. I soon realized that it was Trent from Pinkisthenewblog!! I yelled out "TRENT" and waved my hand to get his attention, and I think that he looked in my direction. Woo hoo.
When the total waiting time was about 2 hours, I had semi-glimpses of relatively famous people. Soon the "real" stars began to show up.

The first to come up to the fans wasMaggie Gyllenhaal. She was unbelievably nice and tried to sign as many autographs as possible. She signed someone's Brokeback Mountain poster, but only in a small spot because as she said, "I'm not in this movie." How sweet and humble! Then another fan asked to take a picture with her and she agreed, but ultimately had to turn him down because it wouldn't be fair to all the other fans waiting. She was smiling through the whole thing. She looks like a normal person.

Her boyfriend, Peter Sarsgaard,

also ventured off of the red carpet to greet the fans. He was nice as well. I don't think he signed as many autographs as Maggie did, because fewer people knew who he was. Shannyn Sossamon

also came to the premiere and signed autographs. She looked so cute and nice. She's tinier than I imagined she would be.
After 30 more minutes of nothing, I was just about to leave when...

Who is that?

JAKE GYLLENHAAL came out! Yep, yep I know many of you are very jealous. Don't worry I'm going to share the experience with you.
He started out on the opposite side signing autographs and he talked to someone's friend on the cel phone! I tried to get a picture of him and see him, but all I could see was his hand or the tree that was in front of him.

When he finally came to where I was, all the overly aggressive hormonal young females decided to push and shove to get closer to him. He signed autographs and even took pictures with a lot of the girls. I wasn't that lucky. But I swear I was within 1 -2 feet of him. I got some pictures of his face, and then some not so great pictures that really only show the back of his head or the side of it. As the pictures show, HE IS DREAMY! The whole thing went by so fast and I was concentrated on getting a good picture that I really didn't get to soak in the whole experience.

After seeing Jake, I felt that I had accomplished what I set out to do. I couldn't wait any longer for the possibility of other stars coming. I sure wish I had stayed to see Lindsay Lohan, but oh well.
The movie's other stars, Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams, were still in NY taking care of their new baby, Matilda.
