US OPEN CONTINUES
Monday
Andre “the legend” Agassi won his opening match Monday night. It was a home stretcher, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6, 6-2 vs. Andrei Pavel. At some points during the match I was scared that he was going to lose because it was so close throughout each set. I thought it was anyone’s game. But Agassi always seems to prove his capabilities at his tender age of 36. He won those last 3 sets to continue on the journey of what could be his Last Grand Slam.
Mardy Fish can be said to be the “underdog.” Ranked at #60 he has come to call some attention winning his opening match yesterday afternoon and making history by calling the first player challenge in Grand Slam history. There’s one for the books! GO FISH!!!
Andy Roddick,Xavier Malisse, Feliciano Lopez, Paradorn Srichaphan, Lindsay Davenport, Justine Henin-hardenne, Elena Dementieva also won.
WEDNESDAY

K.Pless 3 6 3
A.Roddick 6 7 6
Andy Roddick's match was good, he had some good play at the net,his serves were unstoppable but Pless put up a fight in the 2nd set and Andy seemed to get frustrated but that is just what the birthday boy does on court. Save that drama for yo mama Roddick! His victory was a great 24th birthday present. Happy Birthday "el rayo" as I have come to nickname him...hehehe
M.Sharapova 6 6
M.Krajicek 3 0
Sharapova seems to be in the zone with her powerful serves, powerful forehand, and powerful grunts. This girl showed all the critics that she is more than just a pretty face!!! Keep on truckin!
L.Dominguez Lino 1 2
S.Williams 6 6
Serena Williams, well what can I say. I am glad she is back in action! She dominated today and showed Sominguez Lino that she is no match for the Queen Bee...go get the Championship Serena...tennis is in your blood!

Roger Federer SUI (1)Winner 6 6 6
Yeu-Tzuoo Wang TPE 4 1 0
Federer, what can you say that hasn't been already said? nothing...he is the greatest thing that has happened to tennis since Sampras and Agassi and all those other legends. The rankings have actually gone up for tennis since players like Federer, Roddick, Blake, Safin, and Nadal have made appearances to tournaments. This is the man to beat. Federer has an unbreakable strategy, and unbreakable mentality of the game...he just gets the ball and puts it where he wants it and that is IN YOUR FACE!
Federer is going to be here for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME...
Mark Philippoussis AUS 4 4 4
Rafael Nadal ESP (2)Winner 6 6 6
Nadal the amazing youngster who is beating all, well almost all, last year James Blake ended his run in the US OPEN, Nadal is here this year to see if he can take the Grand Slam home. This Spaniard has the heart of the game, him and Federer have a classic rivalry. When I look at them two and they play against eachother its as if it is brother vs. brother. Nadal has his guns, motivation to be the best, the passion the heart, and the forehands and serves. He wants it all, but there is one problem...Federer. Though Nadal says they get along great I know he strives for the number 1 in the world title...it will come sooner or later but Federer aint giving it up without a fight.
Juan Monaco ARG 3 5 6(7)

James, James, James, never ceases to impress. He can do it all he got the smarts, the beauty, the bod, the charm, the smile, the eyes, the oops! tennis thats right, he got the power and passion for the game. Blake keeps up the fighting and truly believes he is number 1 he can win it all...he can be our US Open 2006 Champion, because he truly does want it. Good Luck!

Robby Ginepri USA (18) Winner 3 6 6 6
